The word Diversity refers to `variety and difference’. During the Spring Term you will develop a personal response to the theme. You must document the development of your ideas in your sketchbook and produce an ambitious final piece or series of pieces.

POSSIBLE IDEAS
Political viewpoints. Conservative, Liberal, Labour, Green Party, and B.N.P all have very different ideas about how the country should be run. Many artists respond to political ideas by creating propaganda posters and satirical cartoons. (Steve Bell, Graffiti artists such as Banksy etc.)
Racial difference. Many artists and photographers have explored race and identity within their work (Ingrid Pollard, Sonia Boyce, Yinka Shonibare Chris Ofilli, Do Ho Suh and Kara Walker, Ellen Gallagher)
Disability has been explored by the artist Alison Lapper and Mark Quinn Mark Gilbert.
