At all stages of the art curriculum, we feel that it is essential to place risk taking and experimentation at the heart of creative learning. There is great diversity in the outcomes produced by students and we encourage independent research and enquiry throughout the key stages, along with the development of some key skills.
We are legally required to follow the National Curriculum guidelines set out by QCA (Qualifications Curriculum Association) which determines the key skills and processes that we must incorporate into our school curriculum. At Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and 5 (A-Level), we are assessed by the examination board Edexcel.
